Welcome to the Ishpeming Rock and Mineral Club!
As members of the IRMC, we share common interests in exploring local mineralogy, collecting specimens, and educating anyone curious about rocks and minerals. Whether you’re looking to expand your geologic knowledge of the region, just want to look at pretty rocks and minerals, or would like to join a friendly social group of all ages and backgrounds, there is a place for you here!
To respect local land owners, as well as for liability purposes, the Ishpeming Rock and Mineral Club or its Officers cannot suggest or recommend rock and mineral collecting areas and sites. We try to plan and organize Summer Field Trips where we receive permission from local land owners to visit and collect from their sites, as a group, on certain days, during certain times. The organized Field Trip dates and times are posted on this Website.
